Making money in real estate takes more than just watching a couple of TV shows or buying someone’s CD program off of an infomercial. To be successful, this business requires knowledge and action. Here at Roddy.com, we have the knowledge, and the fact that you’re here now tells me you’re ready to get serious about building wealth through real estate. Helpful links First, people always ask me “what workshop do we recommend someone take when they begin their real estate investing education?” The answer is always the same…it depends. We personally rely heavily on the Texas Double Wrap as a cash generating strategy (hard to beat making $25,000 - $35,000 per deal on around $1,000 investment with no loans or credit required). This is an absolutely fantastic strategy for the current market and allows for an almost inexhaustible supply of deal flow. We then take the cash generated from those deals and use most of it (you have to live a little) to buy Texas Tax Liens or look for good deals at the Foreclosure Auctions to buy and hold for long term wealth accumulation.

Now I’m not saying this is what everyone needs to do, it’s just what works well for us. For those of you who are not sure where to start, the Cash in on Texas Foreclosures workshop is a popular way to go. This will give you a fundamental overview of the “lifecycle” of a consumer lien, from hardship to becoming an REO (bank owned) property.
